I'm Dr. Dani
Lovely to meet you.
Hello! I am Dr. Dani Rosenkrantz, licensed psychologist in Florida, Jewish LGBTQ+ Mental Health Expert, LGBTQ+ and BIPOC Empowerment Collaborator, and Sexual Health and Wellness Champion! I am so excited you are considering working together. Truly, thank you.
As your future therapist/coach/consultant/ dream builder, I would love to partner with you. I know that feeling of self-doubt, uncertainty, and overwhelm that you are facing in this moment, and the ways anxiety and disconnection can rob us of our joy. I am here to tell you that you deserve better, and that better is possible. I can help you learn to trust your inner wisdom, gain your confidence in advocating for your needs, build fulfilling relationships, and learn to bravely share your authentic self with the world.
I also know that creating change can bring up a lot of feelings, fear, discomfort, avoidance, excitement, hope to name a few. I cannot promise you it will be easy (because nothing awesome ever is), but I can offer you a space that is gentle yet challenging with deep talks punctuated by laughter and connecting to the joy and hardness of life together. I also help you discover how to fill your resilience toolbox so you feel confident in managing your mental health.
My approach to therapy comes from a Feminist, Multicultural, Interpersonal and Trauma-Informed lens. I emphasize collaboration, understanding of how life experiences and context impact how we relate to ourselves and others, and channeling of strengths and creativity. I can help you move from surviving to thriving.
"I love to work with clients as they deepen their awareness of self and systems, build their coping and resilience skills, experiment with ways to connect to joy, live authentically, and navigate life’s challenges "
My Story
How it all started
My path to becoming a psychologist has been shaped by living in Florida, Kentucky, and North Carolina, as well as my own Jewish + Queer identities. Growing up in South Florida, I was also immersed in diversity that sparked curiosity about how different identities and experiences shape how we relate to the world.
Motivated by questions about my own identity and struggle with transitions, I received my doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kentucky focusing on LGBTQ+ health and intersections with religious/spiritual identity, parental acceptance, and sexual wellness. I love talking about these issues, and have published several papers and presented at national and international conferences promoting mental health, wellness, and liberation for all.
Over the past 10 years, I have had the privilege of serving as a generalist clinician with emerging adults and young professionals in primarily university settings. I developed my specialty in serving Jewish, LGBTQ+, and BIPOC clients, providing individual counseling, LGBTQ+ and gender identity-focused therapy groups, gender affirmation assessments, and workshops on Jewish mental health, sexual and relationship wellness, and healing from oppression-based trauma. I also LOVE to work with JEWISH LGBTQ+ nonprofits, KESHET and Jewish Queer Youth (JQY)!
